«Unwanted thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations are normal events. The urge to avoid them is a normal urge. The strategies we employ to escape them, however compulsive, are typically normal behaviours. It's being locked into the obsessive-compulsive cycle and having this vicious circle grossly impair your functioning that makes OCD a disorder. It's not the simple presence of these normal events.»
